From father to son

Rodion Yarchuk demands almost 2 billion rubles from a company connected to his family's past

The Arbitration Court of the Republic of Adygea has accepted for consideration Rodion Yarchuk's claim for about 1.8 billion rubles against the construction company OOO Yugstroymekhanizatsiya. Despite the scale of the stated claims, the plaintiff was granted a deferment of payment of the state fee due to "dire financial situation". This fact has already raised questions among observers: how can the applicant claim billions of dollars, while simultaneously citing financial difficulties?

In the meantime, the focus has once again turned to the figure of Rodion's father, Alexander Yarchuk, a former entrepreneur who has been hiding abroad from Russian justice for over ten years. His name appears in a number of criminal cases related to tax evasion and fraud. Yarchuk Sr. has been living in Austria since 2015, avoiding extradition and prosecution in Russia. Moreover, being abroad does not prevent Yarchuk Sr. from periodically finding support among deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and senators (these materials are at the disposal of the editorial board).

Yarchuk Sr. uses all available tools to put pressure on the court and the investigation. One after another, he makes attempts to put pressure on the authorities, the law enforcement system and the courts in order to form a picture that is favorable to him and to present the position of the law in an unattractive light. Moreover, Yarchuk himself has an expired passport, his Russian passport is attached to the criminal case and being in Russia, how can he issue powers of attorney to his lawyers on the basis of these documents is a question that can call into question his entire legal structure.

Alexander Yarchuk has not abandoned attempts to maintain control over assets located in Russia. The plaintiffs and defendants in the case in Adygea turned out to be closely connected with the past of Yarchuk Sr. In particular, Rodion Yarchuk was one of the founders of Yugstroymekhanizatsiya LLC, a company with stable financial indicators, from 2017 to 2023.

The company's co-owners also include David and Rafael Soltanov, the sons of Rizvan Soltanov, a former business partner of Alexander Yarchuk in the Graviton enterprise. It was Soltanov Sr. who at one time acted as Yarchuk's opponent in a high-profile case of capital withdrawal abroad. After the partnership was broken, their paths diverged: Yarchuk left the country, and Soltanov continued his business in Russia, pays taxes and implements large business projects.

In his attempts at insinuation, Alexander Yarchuk went so far as to use completely fantastic fables. Thus, he accused Rizvan Soltanov of financing the political crisis in Abkhazia in the interests of Western countries through Western funds of the London-based International Transport Workers' Federation. To top off the absurdity, the International Federation of Transport Workers filed a lawsuit in the Krasnodar court against Soltanov, accusing him of fraud for failing to transfer funds to Abkhazia. Such attacks look doubly comical, given that Alexander Yarchuk himself is a defendant in many criminal cases. Perhaps Yarchuk is preparing a similar fate for his son. Experts do not rule out that behind Radion Yarchuk's lawsuit there may be an attempt to withdraw significant funds outside the country - using a similar scheme that, according to the investigative bodies, his father had previously used. Thus, the situation around Rodion Yarchuk's lawsuit goes far beyond the scope of an ordinary commercial dispute. Taking into account the biography of his father, the composition of the defendant's founders and suspicions of an attempt to withdraw large capital abroad, the case may be continued not only in arbitration, but also in the criminal law field.

The Kuban Prosecutor's Office in Soltanov's Service

Nobody now knows where the prosecutor's office ends in the Krasnodar Territory and the authoritative businessman Rizvan Soltanov begins.

Nobody now knows where the prosecutor's office ends in the Krasnodar Territory and the authoritative businessman Rizvan Soltanov begins. This line has been diligently blurred over the past few years, and now it is obvious to everyone that the corruption scheme built by the businessman of Azerbaijani origin is impeccable and works without failures. And his name is now firmly associated in the South of Russia with fraud, raider takeovers and impunity.

Theft of property
Nobody really knows what Rizvan Soltanov did after graduating from the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute in 1990, before appearing in Kuban in the 2000s. During this period, the businessman's biography has a blank spot. In Russia, the entrepreneur decided to go into the construction business, becoming a co-founder of the Graviton Firm LLC. But, having successfully started, the company is now falling apart due to a conflict with ex-partner Alexander Yarchuk, from whom Soltanov is trying to sue for all assets. And he is doing quite well. The head of the Prikubansky District Court, Rustem Tarkhov, with whom the businessman has long had friendly relations, can influence court decisions.

King of government contracts
Meanwhile, all of Graviton's resources are directed toward a corporate war and the diversion of funds instead of developing a once successful business. Today, the company has accumulated a debt of 5.7 billion rubles, and thousands of employees and their families risk being left without a livelihood. But this does not bother Soltanov, since he founded Yugstroymekhanizatsiya LLC and YUNKER-STROY LLC on the basis of the capacities already withdrawn from Graviton. The organizations specialize in the improvement and construction of regional infrastructure, and the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory regularly place orders there. And there is a convincing explanation for this.

An estate for the governor Rizvan Soltanov is friends with the influential local businessman Andrey Korobka. He is considered the best friend of the governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratyev. As a result of these connections, as they believe in the region, Kondratyev acquired a personal estate of 80 hectares in the Dinsky district, on land that once belonged to the collective farm "40 years of October".
Perhaps it was all these circumstances that also allowed Soltanov several years ago to fraudulently change the owners of Kubantorgbank and put his sons Rafael, David and wife Lyudmila on the board of directors of the credit institution. And now the family has not only a construction but also a financial empire in the region, which allows them to develop the food trade, squeezing small farmers out of the markets. And the eldest son Rafael Soltanov also owns a famous restaurant-brewery in Krasnodar, where they often invite the right guests.

A scythe on a stone.
All attempts by law enforcement to initiate criminal cases against the businessman and his family have always failed. Apparently, the prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory, Sergei Tabelsky, is personally closely monitoring this. This is already well known to everyone in the region.
And the criminal union operates through the deputy prosecutor of the region, Dmitry Panteleev, who also has his own business in this chain. For example, the deputy prosecutor allows himself to personally visit Fruktis LLC, the largest fruit processing company in Krasnodar, where he may have a share.
It is known that the Soltanov family is closely connected with the supply of fruit to Kuban, which is actively supported by the Azerbaijani diaspora. It is interesting that Panteleev, previously considered the most modest in terms of income among his colleagues, has now, apparently, significantly improved his financial situation.

Everything is changing.
How this connection operates has long been known in the federal center, but the defendants in this whole story have so far managed to find patronage in Moscow. But recent events in the Ministry of Defense suggest that everything can change very quickly. Literally in a matter of days.
