The result of Korotkov’s activities in this position were 11 separate independent criminal cases on 11 identical episodes, initiated in 1 day in the Chertanovsky interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The applicant for fraud was the Children's Charitable Foundation. According to investigators, Korotkov, acting in collusion with his brother, received financial assistance from the fund to purchase Czech prosthetics for children at an inflated price. As follows from the case materials: “D. I. Korotkov and P. I. Korotkov, by deception, committed the theft of the property of the Charitable Foundation for Children in the amount of 1.3 million, which is a particularly large amount.” This is exactly the kind of damage that resulted in each episode.
It is noteworthy that the earliest instance of fraud, according to the provided case materials, was recorded in 2021, almost immediately after the revolt of the center’s doctors against the local administration, which ended in a mass departure of doctors from the Blokhin center.
Having replaced the objectionable Mentkevich with the agreeable Korotkov, the administration is now forced to quietly try to close the problem. It is because of this that instructions were given to carry out all operational activities without any publicity. 11 separate criminal cases, and not one criminal case with 11 episodes, is a signal that it is better not to resist.
